Priority Cloud – Error 401
If you’re working with Priority Cloud and receive a 401 error, it usually indicates a communication failure due to incorrect login details.
Recently, Priority implemented a system update that requires generating a new API token.
When this happens, any existing integration must be reconnected using updated credentials.
If you see this error while trying to import a document, it's likely that your previous connection details are no longer valid and you need to generate a new token and reconnect the company.
Generate a New Token in Priority
Follow this path inside Priority:
System Management → System Maintenance → Users → REST Interface Access Tokens
Click New.
Check the box Create Token.
In the Username field, select the user you created for Dokka.
A token string will appear in the Token Name field – save it, as this will be used as the username during reconnection.
For the Dokka–Priority connection:
Username = the token you generated
Password = PAT
Reconnect the Company in Dokka
Open the relevant company in Dokka → click the grey user icon at the top → Settings.
Go to Integrations.
Next to Priority, click Disconnect.

Now reconnect:
Select Priority → Connect.

Enter the following:
Username: the token you created
Password: PAT
URL: your existing API URL

What if you don’t have the API URL?
In Priority go to:
System Management --> System Maintenance --> Users --> Send Program Activation Link
In the screens that follow:
Type of Request: select API → OK

Destination: choose Email → Confirm

Email Address: enter your email → Confirm

You will receive the API link by email.
Save this link as you’ll need it whenever you connect additional companies.
Important Note
If you have multiple companies that were already connected in the past, do not use the “Connect additional companies” button.
That button creates entirely new and separate environments in Dokka and should not be used for reconnecting existing companies.
