How to Use DOKKA's Chat
The Chat feature in DOKKA allows you to communicate instantly with your colleagues, bookkeepers, or accountants — directly inside the system. It’s designed to make collaboration quick and simple, without needing to switch between apps or emails.
Where to Find the Chat
On the bottom-right corner of both the Workspace and Document screens, you’ll see a Chat button.
Click it to open the chat window, and then select the relevant person from the list of users connected to your company account.
Once selected, you can start chatting — just like you would in WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger.
Who Can You Chat With
Your chat list includes all users linked to your company in DOKKA, such as:
Accountants
Bookkeepers
Managers
Other team members and regular users
Two Types of Chat
There are two ways to use the chat feature, depending on where you start the conversation:
General Chat (from the main screen)
If you open the chat from the main Workspace screen, your message will be sent as a general chat — not linked to any specific document.
Use this for general questions or updates related to your DOKKA account.
Document Chat (from a specific document)
If you open the chat while viewing a specific document, the conversation will be linked to that document.
Each document chat has its own unique URL, so the person you message can open the document directly from the chat.
This is ideal for asking questions, clarifying data, or resolving issues about a particular document.
Chat Notifications
The chat feature works seamlessly on both desktop and mobile.
When someone replies to your chat, a small red dot appears on the chat icon to indicate a new message.
In the mobile app, you’ll also receive a push notification so you never miss a message.
This ensures questions and issues can be handled quickly — wherever you are.
