Bundles in DOKKA
Bundles in DOKKA are used to group documents that are related to one another — such as documents from the same vendor, documents that require joint processing, or a combination of an invoice with supporting documents like a transaction summary.
A bundle is marked with a blue paperclip icon in the top-left corner, and each document within the bundle remains separate and can be processed individually.
How to Create a Bundle
Bundles can be created in two ways:
1. Manually:
- Drag and Drop:
Drag one document onto another — or into an existing bundle.
- Merging documents from different folders:
Click the three dots on the first document → Link Documents
A bundle window will open, containing that document.
You can now search and move between folders.
Once you find additional documents, drag them into the open bundle window.
2. Automatically:
When several documents are sent together in a single email, DOKKA will automatically group them into a bundle — this indicates that they were received together.
Don’t want automatic bundling?
If you prefer documents from the same email not to be bundled automatically:
Go to:
Company Settings → Features → Modules → Advanced Settings → Turn off the option "Link email documents" (requires admin permissions)
Managing a Bundle
Clicking on the paperclip will open the bundle.
At the top, you'll see a Notes field.
If the bundle was created from an email, this field will automatically display the email subject.
You can edit the field to describe why the documents were bundled together.
Choosing the Primary Document in a Bundle (Set Cover)
You can choose which document should appear as the main one in the bundle view:
Click the three dots on the relevant document → Set as Cover
- The document that has been set as cover will be marked with a yellow star on the top left corner.
⚠ Note:
The selected primary document will only appear as such when all documents in the bundle are in the same folder.
For example, if one document is in the “New” folder and the other in the “Done” folder, the document in the currently viewed folder will appear as the primary one.
