Validation Alerts in DOKKA
When you upload and process a document in DOKKA, the system automatically checks it against the journal entries that already exist in your accounting software.
If it finds information that looks similar, DOKKA will raise a validation alert. The alert includes the suspected journal entry number so you can quickly review it.
Why am I seeing this?

DOKKA is designed to make your work faster and reduce mistakes. To do this, the system uses AI to scan different fields and flag anything that might be a duplicate.
Keep in mind:
The alerts are intentionally conservative. Sometimes they’ll appear even when the transaction is unique.
We’d rather warn you unnecessarily than allow a duplicate entry to slip into your books.
What should I do if it’s not a duplicate?
Click the transaction number in the alert to open the matching entry in your accounting software and double-check it.
If you confirm there’s no duplication, continue with the posting:
Click the arrow next to Publish
Select Force Publish
This allows you to record the document even when DOKKA has flagged it, ensuring you stay in control.
The document will be accepted even though it appears to be a duplicate. This way you can work safely, but efficiently.
Important note
In most ERPs, the Force publish option will only work if the entry truly isn’t a duplicate.
If the transaction already exists, the ERP itself will block the posting — as nearly all ERPs prevent double entries by design.
