Why does DOKKA Feel Slow?
If DOKKA seems to be running slower than usual, there could be several reasons behind it — from network speed and browser issues to ERP server delays. Identifying where the slowdown originates is the first step toward resolving it.
Check if the issue is organization-wide or local
Is DOKKA slow only on your computer, or do other users in your organization experience it too?
If only you are affected, the issue is most likely local to your computer or internet connection.
If everyone is affected, the problem might be related to your ERP system, shared network, or DOKKA itself.
To narrow it down, consider the following differences between users who do and don’t experience slowness:
Internet speed and stability (different Wi-Fi networks or connections)
Computer performance (RAM, processor, operating system)
Browser type and installed extensions
VPN usage
Check your network connection
Try accessing DOKKA from another location (e.g., home vs. office).
If the system performs better in one place, the issue is most likely related to the slower or less stable internet connection.
To verify this, run a quick test:
Visit speedtest.net and check your download and upload speeds.
A download speed below 50 Mbps or unstable readings may indicate a weak connection that affects system performance.
Identify when the issue occurs
Does the slowdown happen only at certain times of day or on specific days?
If yes, it could be due to high traffic on your network, temporary ERP server load, or DOKKA maintenance.
When contacting support, please include this information — we’ll check whether the issue is system-wide or local to your environment.
Test your browser
For best performance, use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
Try opening DOKKA in Incognito/Private Mode (Ctrl + Shift + N).
If it runs faster there, browser extensions or cached data may be slowing it down.

If performance doesn’t improve, please let our support team know.
Determine which action is slow
Not all slowdowns are the same — identifying what exactly is affected will help us find the cause faster:
Publishing documents – could be related to communication delays with your ERP system.
Navigating between documents or performing actions (e.g., merging, splitting, creating packages) – often linked to network speed or DOKKA processing delays.
Uploading documents:
From your computer – may be affected by upload speed.
From email – try sending smaller vs. larger attachments.
If large files take significantly longer, the delay might come from your email server rather than DOKKA.
To confirm, send a test email to another address and see if it’s also slow.
When contacting support
To help us investigate efficiently, please include the following details in your support ticket:
When did you first notice the slowness?
Which actions are affected (uploading, switching between documents, exporting, etc.)?
What tests have you already tried, and what were the results?
Internet speed test results from speedtest.net
Is the slowness consistent or temporary?
Have you tested with another browser or in Incognito mode?
Providing this information ensures that our team can identify the root cause quickly and offer a precise solution.
